In the morning Maggie is going to pack my stuff up with me in plastic bags. Thanks to Eliz for filling me in on the fact that I will have a break, yes a break, in which I will be returning to Brooklyn on October 20th for about a week before I go to Philly for Halloween. So I will be bringing my summer and fall clothes, then trading out for the warm stuff in October.

I gave Genie a set of keys so she could get into my house and send me anything I may need, or want. I said goodbye to maybe, who I will miss most of all. I told people what I was doing and got a great deal of support and excitement. I was also told that I made a really quick decision, I know I did, but aren’t those always the best? Mer and Matt decided I would end up married.

Ryan thanks for slipping my sister those rufies, she is now in a coma.

I am honestly nervous. I feel like I did right before college. Going away not knowing anyone, lets hope this is better than my career at Marymount. (lol)

This will be something I will never forget everything I do over the next few months will be something that I may never again get the chance to do. I will never forget the longing that I already have for people I consider family, the hugs, and jokes mean allot to me.

WORLDWIDE CORPORATIONS CLOSE?

So in an effort to complete my to do list I have been digging through clothes, throwing things away and planning for winter with my little sister all day. I am to say the least rather gross right now, and not surprisingly quite dusty from crawling under my bed.

Maggie arrived last night to help me get ready for the next 5.2 months and hang out before I left. We got sushi then went to a friends house in Manhattan to play poker which we both lost, however Maglet managed to get out first and had to do the dishes. House Rules. So we woke up around eleven to find half of The Measure asleep on the floor and couch. We began to attack my room with vigor and show the apartment during the great cleaning/packing of 2007. Having two hungover well painted boys lounging around making weird noises was sure to ruin any chances of a sub-letter. Or so I thought, a French girl that is getting her masters at Pratt will be subletting my room for the next six months. I like her allot and am surprisingly comfortable with her in my room.

I also did laundry. Like 20 dollars worth of laundry. It was amazing. I would have just stayed home in my underwear waiting for the lady to finish it if Maggie had not been with me. But I forgot some stuff so I am going to have to do some more tomorrow.

Canceling Netflix was oddly difficult but is complete.

I got keys made, stored and organized my room.

Now I just need to pack, get my passport, do a bit more laundry, go to the bank, call cingular, get wife beaters, quart size and gallon plastic bags, notebooks and an organizer for all my work shit.

First I need to shower though.

Tonight I am going to hang out with some friends and say goodbye. I will probably do the same sunday and monday night but with other and the same people.

I am starting to miss Brooklyn already.

 

The cooking smells in my building make me ill…

So found out today I will be the merch girl for a large well known circus for the next 5.2 months.

I was in upstate New York at a secret spot that I will never reveal when I got the confirmation.

I am nervous and excited, and I need to be up and in the city in seven hours to do paper work and renew my passport which Canada now needs for me to GET INTO IT. Like it is so special or something. So I am doing all of this, not sleeping now when I should be, and stressing. My sister Maggie is coming up tomorrow to help me get ready for the next five or so months of this crazy adventure.

To do list:

1. Wake up on time.
2. Go into city
3. Go to office get money and print out paperwork
4. Get passport
5. Don’t cry if that does not work out (solution to no passport, driving into canada)
6. Go back to office, more paperwork
7. Come home, cope
8. Meet up with sister and friends for dinner
9. Come home organize life and apartment
10. Sublet room to responsible person with money
11. Pack, cry, hang out with sister
12. Go to the Blvd. for goodbyes
13. Go to brunch for goodbyes
14. Go to dinner for goodbyes
15. Goodbye sister
16. Try and sleep
17. Wake up on time
18. Pick up passport
19. Go to LGA
20. Leave New York
21. Tour

So I have this blog that I will probably forget about.

So much for keeping it simple.
